BBS Admission Policy
Admission of New Students

BBS admits new students based on available space and the qualifications of the applicant. The following procedures are followed:

APPLICATION

  1. Inquiries about admission start on March 1, 2017.
  2. Applicants for admission to BBS will need to submit the following:
    1. An application form (B029) completed with the required information. This can be obtained from the school's Admissions Office or from the BBS website (www.bbs.edu.lb).
    2. Original Certificate of Promotion issued by the previous school and certified by the Ministry of Education.
    3. Original signed and stamped Official Grade Transcripts of the past two years.
    4. Original Identification Card & Civil Extract (إخراج قيد) for Lebanese citizens or an Original foreign national's passport.
    5. Original Family Civil Extract (إخراج قيد عائلي ) for Lebanese citizens.
    6. Two recommendations (B040) from their previous school's educators. Recommendations should assess the applicant's school behavior and academic performance.
    7. Payment of the nonrefundable application fee of 100,000LL.
  3. Applicants submit the Application along with the required documents to BBS Admissions Office.
  4. The Application will be forwarded to the office of the relevant Vice-Principal who will review
  5. and make an assessment based on academic and behavioral records.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRANCE EXAM

  6. The Division Head will return the Application to the Admissions Office who will inform the applicant if s/he is eligible for admission or not. An interview will be scheduled with the Division Head &/or the Academic Director.
  7. The Admissions Office will inform the eligible applicant of the Entrance Exam date and will inform the applicant of the exam's subject content.
  8. Dates of Entrance Exams :
      - 8 April, 2017
      - 6 May, 2017
      - 3 July, 2017
  9. APPROVAL TO ADMIT THE STUDENT

  10. Results of the Entrance Exam will be given to the Division Heads. If needed, s/he will consult with various Heads of Department regarding potential probation status. Areas of probation include but are not limited to: Special Arabic, Special French and any other differences between the former school's scope and sequencing and BBS's scope and sequencing. Interviews may be necessary.
  11. The Division Head will meet with the Academic Director for a final decision on acceptance.
  12. REGISTRATION

  13. The Division Head will notify the Admissions Office who in turn will inform the applicant of the school's decision. Then, the Admissions Office will schedule a time for the applicant to meet with the Academic Director and Division Head before beginning the formal registration process.
  14. The Academic Director and/orDivision Head will clarify to parents and students all BBS's policies, regulations and conditions of acceptance.
  15. Once accepted:
    1. the applicant should register within two weeks of notification.
    2. the applicant is charged a one-time nonrefundable Development Fee (refer to Tuition Fees).
  16. Accepted applicants who do not register with the school by the registration deadline and pay the registration fee forfeit their right of admission to the school.
  17. Priority will be given to current students’ siblings & children of BBS Alumni.
