Art Fair

Art Fair

“The artist is not a special kind of person, rather each person is a special kind of artist.” ANANDA COOMARASWAMY

The Art Education program is designed to enhance the artistic, creative and expressive qualities of all learners. Moreover, art opportunities are provided for every child to learn the skills of creating, analyzing, interpreting and evaluating works of art. Therefore, learners will understand that creativity is as important as literacy and that art is a universal language interconnected to other content areas and cultures.

Hurray for BBS students.

When asking The visual arts teacher Miss Raymonda Chamoun about her art classes she says that:

“she discovered little artists, creators; the dreamy, the realistic, the logical, the simple and even the problematic. once again she was reminded that if we respect and understand our children, we will discover hidden planets of creativity and unlock wonders”

PMT Workshop – Atelier De Relaxation

PMT Workshop – Atelier De Relaxation

Ms. Ruba Talih, our psychomotor therapist, taught our teachers techniques to use them when they need help in regulating their students’ emotions or behavior. They learned about relaxation, breathing exercises, reducing muscles tension and sensory stimulation. Moreover,  Engaging students in breathing and movement activity helps them become more aware of their bodies. It teaches them how to use their breath as a tool to focus and calm down.

Mind-body exercises can help students learn to calm their minds and regulate their emotions. Some of the many benefits of introducing mind-body exercises into our classroom include learning better self-control, anxiety management, concentration and mental focus.

Math and Sports Rally

Math and Sports Rally

Our learners had a challenging activity called “Math and Sport Rally”, where they’re divided into teams and each team had to pass through 7 stations and on each station they had to answer 2 math questions correctly and finish an exercise to collect points. The winners were the teams with the highest points in each class. The best part of this was that all the learners participated in this competition.
